One of the popular methods that I will use is blogger. The main purpose of blogger will be to deliver information or instructions for homework. Also, students will be able to find video, tutorials and special assignments in this blogger application. Here they can make interactions with other classmates, post some assignments and comment on other students projects. With an easy to use application were they can add media and personalize their own page at their own taste will create a comfortable setting with their own Personal Learning Environment.

I loved the ideas of how to use blogger in the classroom. There are several blog sites that I've run across that are specific to education such as edublog.com or class blogmeister.com. These tools are free and they allow some screening tools that keep it within bounds. Some can just be set up for a specific classroom,w hich is what I think I would due under that scenario. Blogs are one of the basic web 2.0 tools, and I think as teachers, we have to find a way or ways to use them in the classroom. Helping students (and parents) with assignments and homework is a great way to start the blog--and then of course--students helping students--the informal learning environment that is going on out there--is a great way to re-inforce what they learn in school. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the post. Since blogging is one of the basic web 2.0 tools, I think it has to be utiliized in the classroom. Your ideas are great. Would also suggest edublog and class blogmeister as two highly recommended sites 9I keep coming across them, but haven't used them personally) to get going in the classroom. Also, these blogs can be designed to use only in the classroom. Great post. Thanks. Christena Southwick
